How much does data recovery cost?
The price depends directly on the type of damage:
- Logical damage: Formatted drive, deleted partition. Relatively quick and affordable.
- Electronic damage: Burned PCB controller, short circuit. This requires micro-soldering and is handled by specialist board-repair labs, not by a standard service.
- Physical damage: Dropped HDD (clicking head). Requires opening in a laminar flow cabinet and head transplant. The most difficult and expensive.
